Tasting Notes

You will often see this varietal make a small cameo in most Cabernet Sauvignon blends, but we think it is more than deserving of its own bottling! The majority of our Petit Verdot comes from our estate Chambers Vineyard, but the addition of fruit from Brookshire Vineyard in Knights Valley makes this vintage even more dynamic. This wine reminds us of picking juicy, ripe blackberries from a briar patch during late summer. With deep, rich color, our Petit Verdot exudes flavors of dark chocolate, baking spices, and plum galette. A gentle giant, this structure-oriented varietal takes a feminine approach with beautiful floral aromatics and a soft, refined finish that will keep you reaching for more.
