Tasting Notes

Hailing from the Moon Mountain District of Sonoma Valley, this wine comes from one of the most iconic vineyard sites in all of California - Monte Rosso. Named for its red volcanic soils, the vineyard rests at an average elevation of 1,100 feet with southwest exposure and views that stretch all the way to San Francisco. During early morning vineyard walks, it's hard not to get lost in the majesty and history of the twisted, gnarled 100-year-old vines. Our Monte Rosso Zinfandel is a combination of two exceptional vineyard blocks, with the oldest vines supplying the vibrant heartbeat, while the more newly planted fruit adds brightness, fresh acidity, and layers of dimension. We feel so fortunate to be able to share this special piece of wine history with you!
