Tasting Notes

The Merlot release is one of our favorite releases each year and this year is no exception. The growing season began with happy vines enjoying a cool, wet spring and finished with warm summer days that allowed for ideal ripening in the vineyard. This wine offers ripe red fruit, beautiful florals, and is full of spice. On the nose, dried cherry, cedar, and sweet tobacco leaf leap from the glass. Ripe red fruit continues on the palate with flavors of berry pie accompanied by hints of vanilla and nutmeg. Firm, mouth-coating tannins have a fineness that keeps you coming back for more. This crowd-pleaser has a firm structure and beautiful balance making it a wonderful pairing with various cuisines!
