Chambers Vineyard

Sonoma County

100% Chardonnay
100% Old Wente Clone

“Our Chardonnay program is an area of extreme focus for us because this wine requires a very delicate balance to achieve rich texture while retaining lively acidity and true varietal character. 2011 was an exceptional vintage for Chardonnay as the cool growing season intensified the bright fruit characters and with layers of delicate spice notes from our oak program our Chambers Vineyard Chardonnay really stands out from the crowd.”
– Jennifer Higgins, Winemaker

Tasting Notes
The 2011 Chardonnay has complex and layered aromas of citrus with orange blossom, white nectarine and lemon meringue. The mouthfeel is exceptional with a brisk entry to the palate which coats your tongue completely and lingers to a bright crisp finish. Chardonnay is one of the few white wines that will improve with age as the fruit and oak characters continue to evolve and develop.

Vineyard Notes
Our Chambers Vineyard Chardonnay is comprised entirely of the Old Wente clone picked from blocks thirteen and fourteen from our own Chambers vineyard. The Wente clone is known for its small loose clusters, focused acidity and citrus fruit notes.
