“For our 2011 Cabernet Franc we picked from four different Sonoma County vineyards to attain a wine of great quality and balance. This Cabernet Franc is very distinctive with its dark, fruit-driven aromatics and subtle spice notes. The noteworthy structure and elegant style make it easy to enjoy now and it will age beautifully, becoming more lush in its expression over time.”
– Jennifer Higgins, Winemaker

TASTING NOTES
Our 2011 Cabernet Franc has intense dark fruit characters of plum, black cherry, black raspberry and blackberry that are intermingled with subtle notes of sandalwood, spice and rose petal. On the palate this wine is rich and well-structured with persistent tannins that evolve to a creamy vanilla finish.

VINEYARD NOTES
With such wide-ranging topographical and climactic diversity among Sonoma County appellations our Cabernet Franc benefits from the positive characteristics that each region has to offer. We chose fruit from Chalk Hill, Dry Creek Valley and Alexander Valley, then added small amounts of other Bordeaux varietals to this blend, intensifying fruit character and deepening richness in the finished wine.
