Sonoma County

100% Malbec

With only 168 cases of this distinctive wine produced from the 2009 vintage, it is a treasure we reserve exclusively for our Liquid Assets Wine Club members. Known for its deep pigment, supple tannins, and dark fruit aromas, Malbec has long played a supporting actor role to Cabernet Sauvignon—a blending component that provides a bold mid-palate structure—in many of the great wines of Bordeaux.

Grown in our sunny Chambers Vineyard, Malbec shows its own star potential. Our 2009 Malbec glows, a ruby-hued wine tinged with indigo. Intricate aromas of crème de violette, cassis and wild blueberries burst from the glass, while dense, sophisticated tannins and a rich depth of flavor fill the mouth, and notes of creamy vanilla and black cherry linger on the palate.

We highly recommend this wine with a roasted duck breast drizzled in a black cherry reduction. Yum!
