After the rave reviews of our inaugural release, we could not help but try and raise the bar even higher with the second and even more luscious release of our 2009 Chambers Vineyard Chardonnay. Estate grown, in our largest 25 acre ranch just outside Chalk Hill, this single clone Chardonnay is 100% Old Wente Clone, an heirloom variety that is sparsely planted due to its small yields. In fact, we have just 2 tiny blocks of this much sought after clone and almost all of it goes into this very small, wine club exclusive. This vintage is just 190 cases!

One of our most food friendly white wines, the 2009 Chambers Chardonnay awakens all the senses and greets you with fragrant aromas of apple, lemon meringue and a hint of nutmeg on the nose. From the first splash of bright acidity to the soft coating that lingers long after you have swallowed your last drop, this wine exhibits what we feel is the perfect mouthfeel for a classic Sonoma Chardonnay. The velvet finish on this wine is in part due to the tiny clusters and small berries of the Wente Clone which provides a unique flavor profile and structure that is reminiscent of its European counterparts.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and as the weather cools down, we recommend sharing a bottle of Chambers Vineyard Chardonnay over a steaming bowl of butternut squash soup before the turkey arrives to the holiday table.
