Maple Vineyards

Dry Creek Valley

92% Zinfandel
8% Petite Sirah

The 2011 growing season resulted in the most bright and playful Maple Vineyards Zinfandel to date! Extra time on the vine and co-fermentation with 8% Maple Vineyards Petite Sirah coaxed out fragrances of sweet Lambert cherries. Ten months in French oak added floral notes and warm vanilla aromas that announce the arrival of 2011 Maple Vineyards Zinfandel.

On the palate, this Zinfandel embodies a purity of fruit. It is elegant and polished with flavors of bright red raspberry, cranberry, and pomegranate that are characteristic of our coveted block from the Maple Vineyards. A surprising hint of baking spice and sweet oak elongates the finish and compels you to take another sip.

Our Maple Vineyards Zinfandel exhibits soft tannins and a refined structure that will become even more lush and plush with age. Ready to drink now, it pairs perfectly with smoked meats and barbeque. Make space in your cellar! You will want to revisit this wine frequently over the next five years.
