Dry Creek Valley

97% Zinfandel

From the famous eastern bench of Dry Creek Valley, our 2011 Forchini Vineyard Zinfandel displays an intensity of fruit that is both concentrated and elegant. Our two small blocks of grapes ripen early which enabled our fruit to develop its dark, concentrated character even during the cool summer of 2011. Individual berry-sorting ensured that only the best, perfectly-ripened grapes were chosen to become wine. We know that you will appreciate this labor of love in the complex aromas, flavors, and textures that make our Forchini Zinfandel so distinctive.

A bouquet of black raspberry and blueberry with rare hints of lavender and jasmine greets you as you swirl and breathe in the beautiful aromatics of this wine. The first sip evokes wild berry sorbet. Ten months in French oak produce subtle notes of vanilla, brown sugar, and baking spice to create a velvety-smooth but textured finish that lingers. Enjoy 2011 Forchini Vineyard Zinfandel with traditional Italian fare, summer barbeque, or zesty savory foods like tapenades or sharp cheeses. This wine is sure to be a winner at your next get-together!
