Forchini Vineyard

Dry Creek Valley

100% Zinfandel

Planted nearly 126 years ago on the eastern bench of Dry Creek Valley, the Forchini vineyard yields the darkest, most complex Zinfandel in our portfolio. A blend from two one acre parcels, the 2010 Forchini Vineyard Zinfandel is packed with jammy dark cherry pie flavors that are rounded out with hints of vanilla. This classic Zinfandel aroma is supported by notes of sweet French oak, while the pepper finish adds interest and depth.

Great things come from challenging times and the vintage of 2010 is the perfect example. Several Zinfandel vineyards were at the mercy of an unseasonably aggressive heat wave in August. However, we were prepared for this “character building” vintage, and had the appropriate tools to craft the perfect wine. And while our careful berry sorting was instrumental in the creation of this Zinfandel, the raisin removal resulted in less than 260 cases of this tasting room favorite to go around. Get it while you can!

Break out the patio furniture, turn up the radio, and head over to the bocce court; this classic Zinfandel pairs perfectly with your favorite summertime activities. We highly recommend inviting some friends over, firing up the grill and enjoying all that the Forchini Zinfandel has to offer.
